SUMMARY:STEM Robotics Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:This summer for the first time MESA is offering a series of one-week summer camps for middle school students covering STEM topics\, such as Engineering\, Gaming\, Aeronautics and Robotics. The summer camp is designed to focus on four STEM topics and will be held in four different locations. Each camp will serve 25 students. Students will be allowed to participate in one camp only\, Monday through Friday\, with a topical field trip each Friday. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho can attend: The camps are designed for middle school students. Students must be entering or attending middle school in the 2019/20 school year (ages 11-14). \nHow much will the camps cost: The camp is free and open to middle school students only. \nMESA STEM Summer Camp schedule is as follows:\nEach camp will be held 8:30 am – 12:30 pm\, with the exception of Camp 4 which is an evening camp and will be held 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm with a day field trip on Friday August 9th. Camps will include snacks. \n\nJuly 8th – 12th: Aeronautics\, Tacoma Community College\nJuly 22nd – 26th: Gaming\, Baker Middle School\nJuly 29th – August 2nd: Robotics\, Grey Middle School\nAugust 5th – 9th: Engineering\, Graduate Tacoma (Note: this is an evening camp and will be held 5:30 – 8:30 pm)\n\nHow to Apply: Each camp will be limited to 25 students and placement is offered on a first-come first served basis. To apply\, please visit the Tacoma MESA website at summer.tacomamesa.com. Here you will find additional program information and the application.
