Hosted by the Foundation for Tacoma Students\, this annual two-day conference is designed to equip participants with the tools\, insights\, and relationships needed to dismantle barriers in education and expand access to postsecondary opportunities and workforce readiness. \nTaking place on April 8-9\, 2025\, at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center\, this year’s theme\, The Power of Us\, centers on the strength of collective action through everyday community partnerships\, ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to thrive. \nAttendees will engage in thought-provoking keynotes\, interactive breakout sessions\, and strategy-driven discussions that move beyond conversations to actionable change. This year’s lineup features two nationally recognized keynote speakers whose work challenges institutions to rethink their role in creating educational equity: \n\nJeff Duncan-Andrade\, Ph.D.\, Co-Founder of Community Responsive Education\, has spent decades redefining the purpose of schools\, proving that when education prioritizes wellness\, equity\, and justice\, entire communities transform. At the heart of this conference is the desire to build a collective knowledge base\, equipping participants with essential tools to positively influence the lives of youth and their families. By adopting a systemic approach and pooling our diverse expertise\, we aim to transform policies\, practices\, resource allocation\, and power dynamics. \nThis year’s theme is Local Focus\, Statewide Impact.
