SUMMARY:Mentoring During COVID-19
DESCRIPTION:The current global pandemic and resulting social distancing and closing of schools and nonprofit programs has thrown the mentoring field into a dizzying time of program adaptations\, on-the-fly technology solutions\, and radically changed mentor-mentee relationships. Please join leading scholar Dr. Michelle Kaufman of Johns Hopkins University and MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership for a webinar discussing Dr. Kaufman’s important new study: Mentoring During COVID-19. This qualitative study features the real-life experiences of mentors from across the country who share how social distancing and technology integration has impacted their mentoring relationships\, sometimes in unexpected positive ways. Hear about some of the solutions mentors are employing to stay in contact with mentees during this time\, as well as some of the longer-term considerations mentoring programs should have in mind as they consider switching to blended or online-only mentoring solutions.
