SUMMARY:Native American Student Day
DESCRIPTION:The Office of Multicultural Outreach & Recruitment (MOR) is excited to announce the 2019 Native American Student Day at the University of Washington. Native American Student Day (NASD) is May 10\, 2019 (Friday)\, an annual event where American Indian/Alaska Native high school students visit campus and experience the University of Washington. This day honors the legacy and relationship that the University of Washington has with tribes and Native students.  The goal is for students to have a day of experiential learning\, learn about the University of Washington\, and how to get ready for secondary education. An important part of the day is the UW Experience workshops\, which are experiential learning workshops offered by UW department faculty and students. Visiting high school students will choose two 60-minute workshops. \nThe workshops will take place at a location of your choosing.  Students will be escorted to and from the Intellectual House to your workshop.  All you have to do is provide the space and program.  This will allow students to see UW at a deeper level than the student tour. \nThe UW Experience Workshops:\n10.20 – 10.30     Transition \n10.30 – 11.30     Workshop #1 \n11.30 – 11.40     Transition \n11.40 – 12.40     Lunch \n12.40 – 12.50     Transition \n12.50 – 1.50       Workshop #2 \n  \nIf you are interested\, please submit an email to zinshwe@uw.edu.   \n
