Last Policy Push as Cutoff Date Nears

The policy cutoff date is only one week away! This means that any bills that haven’t passed out of their policy committee will not move forward this session. The following bills are currently scheduled to move forward:

  • HB-1213 and SB-5237, campanion bills known as the Fair Start for Kids Act, would expand early learning and childcare programs. Both bills passed their respective committees last week. Help ensure this impactful bill continues to move forward this session by letting lawmakers know you want them to vote in support of this bill.
  • No action was taken on SB-5231 expanding access to the College Bound Scholarship during last week’s Senate hearing. The bill is scheduled for executive session in the Senate Committee on Higher Education & Workforce Development tomorrow at 1:30 PM.
