We are excited to share that BEN has launched a $20k scholarship for students of Black or African descent!
Access to receive a higher education provides an individual with the tools, knowledge, and strategies to improve their lives and impact their community. This is particularly important in the Black community where access to higher education can be inaccessible. In partnership with Amazon Future Engineer (AFE), World Wide Operations (WWOps), and Tech U, BEN created this scholarship as one additional step that Amazon can take to help eliminate barriers and provide access.
The scholarship is geared towards high school seniors who plan to continue their education and pursue a computer science (CS) or supply chain-related field of study. Recipients of the scholarship will receive $5,000 per year, for four years, towards college tuition, plus a connection to industry mentors within BEN. Details to sign-up to be a mentor will be shared soon.
Applications are now open until 1 pm on March 4, 2021.
