Summer Learning refers to the percent of students who participated in summer learning programs. This information is reported by summer program providers to Tacoma Public Schools (TPS). Since not all providers are able to report to TPS, this data is incomplete. For summers before 2018, reported student ID’s did not always match with student ID’s in the district system, therefore these students lack demographic data and show up as “Unknown”.

Many summer learning providers also serve non-TPS youth and include them in their reporting to us. This is captured in our overall “slots” measure in our Impact Report, but not included in this dashboard.
Rates based on fewer than 10 students (n<10) are suppressed to protect student privacy.
