In May 2021, Pierce County allocated funds to the Foundation for Tacoma Students to support programming that focuses on children’s social-emotional, mental health, and academic needs. These programs will enhance in-school learning by supporting the holistic social-emotional learning needs of children and youth as they re-acclimate to in-person school and learning environments in 2021 and 2022.
Through the Pierce County ELO Fund, Pierce County and FFTS seek to support organizations and programs that recognize and address disparities in access and opportunity for low-income youth and children of color.
FFTS is hosting a series of information sessions for prospective applicants. A recording of the June 1st information session will be available on the ELO Fund webpage. All questions can be sent to FFTS at grants@graduatetacoma.org.
