Announcing Pierce County ELO Fund Subgrantees
In partnership with Pierce County, The Foundation for Tacoma Students is thrilled to announce the first round of funded programs through the Pierce County Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO) Fund.
The Foundation takes lead on Tacoma Completes
To better support the continued evolution and growth of Tacoma Completes, the facilitation and leadership of the initiative has moved from Degrees of Change to FFTS as of July 1, 2021. Schools graduates by working on systems-level changes with community partners.
New Summer Program Funding
With the support of Pierce County and the American Rescue Plan, the Foundation for Tacoma Students is leading the planning and allocation of capacity-investment dollars for ELO programs that focus on SEL outcomes throughout Pierce County during the summer of 2021.

Announcing Our 2030 Community-Built Goal
By 2030, 70 percent of Tacoma Public Schools students will earn a degree, technical certificate, or gain a good-earning wage employment opportunity within six years of high school graduation. Targeted efforts will focus on students of color and those impacted by poverty.

Take Action to Expand College Bound Access
With all students opted into the College Bound Scholarship, we are relieving an unnecessary burden for many of our school staff, students, and families. SB-5321 has the potential to support communities across the state to increase their college-going culture and college enrollment rates.
